Dark geese have been coming in good.  I have see a slight amount of Snow geese and have heard some Sandhill Cranes honking above.  Ducks have not flown in yet but we hope they come soon.  We have not set up our duck water yet but will soon.

Last Report: 2002

This year has been the worst year for duck and goose hunting.  At locations that are hunted periodically, there were some geese around, but it has no been as great or large volume like before.  The rice fields are flooded with water, but no ducks.  The recent rains have played a great impact on the waterfowl.  If it is not cold enough in the north, than the waterfowl stay up there.  Hopefully the colder weather will come and blow away this warm atmosphere here in the south.
